When and Where?
25. - 30. August 2026 – 6 Days and 5 Nights in Centro il Risveglio in Italy https://www.centroilrisveglio.it/en/
“Il Risveglio” is a retreat centre set in the stunning nature of Maremma, Tuscany, not far from the city of Grosseto, owned by Irene and David.
The farmhouse from the early 19th century overlooks 40 hectares of hills and forests that invite you to take long walks in nature and to enjoy the tranquillity around the little town of Scansano. The house itself offers a cosy atmosphere with rustic charm, a fireplace and a large living room for long conversations with fellow yogis, as well as single and double rooms where you can truly feel at home. Irene and Davide, who live at the retreat center with their little daughter, create a warm, family atmosphere and are always available to plan guided hikes or excursions to nearby attractions— for example the beach in Castiglione della Pescaia (40 km away).

What type of food will be served?
Meals are served on the large terrace in front of the house, where a gentle breeze can be felt even in the summer. “Il Risveglio” treats us to two daily buffets featuring traditional Tuscan specialties— seasonal, organic, and local (0km!), vegetarian, and vegan. A picnic in the olive grove is also on the agenda—the cherry on top!
The meals that are offered are based on organic, seasonal and local ingredients. “Il Risveglio” always uses fresh fruit and vegetables, freshly ground einkorn flour and wholemeal flours in general. The chefs at the location cook traditional Tsucan food in tune with practices while avoiding excesses of gluten and sugar.
What do I bring?
The retreat center offers yoga mats, pillows and blankets on site. Of course, you can always bring your own mat too.
If you like to practise with blocks, then you are welcome to bring them.
A swim suit for the pool or a visit to the beach is a must, and some protection from the Italian summer sun: sun screen, hats etc.
What yoga style will be taught?
In the mornings, we will practise a dynamic yoga class offering variations for all levels that both challenge and ground you. In the evenings, we take time for a restorative practice to wind down and embrace a relaxed evening.
Yoga Level required / Who is the retreat for?
We embrace all levels of Yoga at “Il Risveglio” Retreat - all you need is an open mind and the courage to step out of your comfort zone once in a while. There will be a small group of participants (max 15) to ensure that every yogi receives enough attention, and can feel safe in a group.
What language will the classes be held in?
Depending on the group, the classes will either be held in german or english
We are already super excited to spend one week with you in the heart of Tuscany :)
